All You Need To Know About The Double-decker Flyover In Bengaluru

Bengaluru introduced its first double-decker flyover, marking a milestone in urban infrastructure.

It was inaugurated by Deputy CM DK Shivakumar and State Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy on July 17.

It is set to make commuting easier between Ragigudda and Silk Board.

Currently, it takes 30-40 minutes to cover this 4-km stretch.

The new flyover will reduce the travel time to 5-6 minutes.

The 3.3-kilometre project will cost around Rs 450 crore.

It is built 8 metres above ground level, with the Metro yellow line leaping 16 metres.

The upper deck houses a Metro line, while the bottom deck accommodates vehicular traffic.

50,000 vehicles are expected to use the flyover daily.

The five ramps will provide seamless connectivity to HSR Layout, Hosur Road and BTM Layout.
