Healthy Bisi Bele Bath Recipe To Try At Home

Wash a cup of rice and 1/2 cup of tur dal, then pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

For bisi bele bath, powder dry roast 1 tsp chana dal and urad dal.

Add 4 red chilies, coriander seeds, cinnamon, cloves, methi seeds and cardamom.

Roast until it changes colour, then add khus khus and saute on low heat.

Add dry coconut, saute for a few minutes and blend into a fine powder.

For tamarind water, soak 10 grams of tamarind in a cup of hot water.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add 1 tsp mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and heeng.

Add your favourite veggies and the soaked tamarind water. Cook it.

Mash the cooked dal and rice, add it to the vegetables. Mix well.

Add half a cup of boiling water if it's too thick, and you're done.
