Priyanka Chopra relished mom-made Palak Paneer in Australia after a shoot. Here's a simple recipe to make the creamy, spinach-based curry at home.
Ingredients: - 1 bunch of fresh spinach leaves - 250 gm paneer, cut into cubes - 2 cloves of garlic, minced - 1 small onion, finely chopped - 1 inch ginger, grated - 1 tablespoon ghee or oil - 1 teaspoon cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon garam masala - Salt, to taste - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour - 1 cup water - Fresh cream, for garnish
Blanch spinach leaves and blend into a smooth puree.
Heat ghee/oil in a pan and sauté garlic, onion, and ginger.
Add cumin seeds, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for 1 minute.
Add flour and cook for another minute. Then add water and spinach puree.
Add paneer cubes and cook until they're fully coated.
Season with salt and garnish with fresh cream. Serve hot with naan/roti/rice.
