Manu Bhaker is an Olympic medallist! Check out which other women have made India proud

Manu Bhaker  Bhaker is the first Indian woman to have clinched a bronze in the 10m air pistol event in the Paris Olympics 2024 on July 28. This makes her the eighth female athlete from India to win an Olympic medal.

Karnam Malleswari She was the first woman to win an Olympic medal. Participating in the 69-kg weightlifting category, she clinched the bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Saina Nehwal  Nehwal won the bronze medal at the women's badminton singles event at the 2012 London Games. It was India's first medal in Badminton at the Olympics.

Mary Kom Indian boxer Mary Kom beat five-time world champion 11-6 in the semi-finals of the women’s boxing flyweight (51 kg). This feat was achieved at the 2012 London Olympics.

Sakshi Malik Indian wrestler Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games. She won the medal in the 58 kg wrestling, making her the first Indian female wrestler to win a medal at the Olympics.

PV Sindhu  Shuttler PV Sindhu bagged India's second medal in badminton as she won the silver medal in the women's singles event at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games. She also clinched a bronze at Tokyo 2020.

Saikhom Mirabai Chanu  Mirabai Chanu won a silver medal in the 49 kg weightlifting category at the Tokyo Olympics. She lifted a total of 202 kg.

Lovlina Borgohain Lovlina Borgohain finished with a bronze after being out punched by world champion Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey in a women’s 69 kg semifinal bout at Tokyo. She is the third Indian boxer to claim an Olympic bronze.
