From Most Runs to Most Sixes: Rohit Sharma Broke Records of 3 Cricket Legends in 1st Two IND vs SL ODIs

Rohit Sharma smashed 64 off 44 during India's run chase in the second ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday.

With that, he broke Rahul Dravid’s record of 10,768 runs to become India’s fourth leading run-scorer in ODIs.

Debuting for India against Ireland in June 2007, Rohit has amassed 10,831 runs in 264 matches till now.

Rohit also holds 121 fifty-plus scores in all formats with his 2nd ODI knock. He completed his fifty in 29 balls.

With that, he surpassed Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's record of 120 fifty-plus scores for India as the opener in international cricket.

He also scored 58 runs, including seven fours and three sixes during the 1st ODI vs Sri Lanka on Friday (August 2).

With his three sixes, Rohit broke Eoin Morgan's elite record of most sixes in international cricket as a captain.

He has 234 sixes (one more than Morgan) to his name in 124 matches for India as a captain.
