Mondo Duplantis Breaks Own World Record To Win Pole Vault Gold At Paris Olympics

Sweden's Mondo Duplantis won a gold medal in the pole vault.

Duplantis registered the top spot with a vault of 6.25m.

With this, the Swedish scripted a new world record.

Duplantis surpassed his own record to achieve the sensational feat.

Duplantis had previously set the record of 6.24m at the Xiamen Diamond League in April this year.

This is the ninth time Duplantis broke the world record.

Duplantis had won gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

The USA’s Sam Kendricks bagged the silver medal with a jump of 5.95m.

Greece’s Emmanouil Karalis earned the bronze medal (5.9m).
