Street dogs, or Indian Pariahs, are a significant part of India's urban and rural landscapes. Here are some food items you must avoid giving to street dogs.

 Sweetened Snacks

Avoid feeding leftover sweets to street dogs as they contain xylitol, an artificial sweetener commonly found in cookies, candies, and chewing gums. It is life-threatening for dogs as it can lead to acute liver disease and blood clotting issues.

Dairy Items

Most adult dogs are lactose intolerant. Milk and foods containing milk can cause vomiting and diarrhoea.

Garlic And Onion

Studies suggest that foods that contain garlic and onion have thiosulphate. Thiosulphate damages dogs' red blood cells and can lead to anaemia.

 Chocolates

Chocolate contains theobromine, a chemical extremely detrimental to dogs.

Uncooked Potatoes

Raw potatoes contain solanine, which can cause diarrhoea, vomiting, and confusion in dogs.
