Bajaj's new affordable variant
Bajaj is developing a more affordable variant of its Freedom 125 CNG, aimed at the 100cc commuter class, following the success of its initial launch.
Spotted: A test mule
As per media reports, a test mule of the Freedom bike has been spotted, indicating design changes that differentiate it from the existing Freedom 125cc model.
Simpler front design
The new variant features smaller, simpler fork sleeve protectors without the silver accents and faux air vents seen on the 125cc model.
New body panel colours
The test mule was seen with red body panels, hinting at a new single-tone colour option for the more affordable variant.
Conventional halogen headlamp
The new variant may feature a conventional halogen headlamp instead of an LED unit, likely to keep the bike affordable.
Chrome exhaust shield
The exhaust shield on the muffler is chrome-finished, differing from the brushed-steel finish of the Freedom 125cc CNG model.
Expected 100cc engine
The affordable variant is expected to house a 100cc engine with a power output similar to other motorcycles in the commuter segment.
Launch timeline uncertain
With Bajaj still gauging demand and feedback, the launch timeline for this more affordable Freedom variant remains uncertain.
