Maharashtrian Ussal Pav Recipe

Ingredients Onion, chopped - 1 Garlic - 1 pod Fennel seeds - 1 tbsp Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp Tomatoes - 1 Jeera - 1 tbsp Cloves - 7 Pepper corns - 5 Bada elaichi - 1/2 Green elaichi - 1 Red chillies - 3 Dry coconut - 1 tbsp Dry white peas, soaked - 1 cup

 Step 1 Heat oil in a pan and saute onions. 

Step 2 Dry roast all the dry ingredients till brown.

Step 3 Mix ginger, garlic, sauteed onions and roasted ingredients together. Grind them to a fine paste.

Step 4 Cook dry peas in a pressure cooker. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add crushed garlic and curry leaves. Fry till garlic becomes brown.

Step 5 Add ground paste and fry. Add tomatoes, boiled peas and salt. Cook till done. Serve it hot.
