Yummy Chicken Lollipop Recipe

Chicken lollipops are easy to find at Chinese restaurants across India. Try this tasty chicken lollipop recipe at home.

Ingredients to marinade the chicken lollipops

Chicken wings - 500 gm Soy Sauce - As required Green chilli sauce - As required Red chilli sauce - As required Salt - As required MSG - 1/4 tsp Ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp Ginger - 7 gm Garlic - 14 gm Egg whites - 1 tbsp Plain flour - 4 tbsp Cornstarch - 2 tbsp Vegetable oil for deep frying - As required

Ingredients for the sauce

Vegetable oil - As required Onions - 50 gm Chicken stock - 2 tbsp Ketchup - As required Dark soy sauce - As required Spring onions - 2 pieces

Step 1

Hold the exposed joint with a cloth and scrape away to detach the meat from the bone and gather it at the other end.

Step 2

Hold the loose meat with the cloth and pull it to turn the meat inside out to form the second (bigger) lollipop.

Step 3

Marinate the chicken with soy sauce, green chilli sauce, red chilli sauce, salt, msg, pepper, ginger, garlic, and egg whites in a bowl.

Step 4

Make the sauce with red chilli sauce, ketchup, and dark soy sauce. Before frying, add cornflour to the marinated lollipops.

Step 5

Heat oil in a pan, fry the chicken lollipops, and set them aside.

Step 6

Heat oil and fry chopped onions, ginger, garlic, sugar, pepper, sauces and salt. Add the chicken and mix it well.

Step 7

Garnish with spring onions and serve.
