Jay Shah elected unopposed as Chairman of ICC

Jay Shah is elected unopposed as the chairman of ICC in August 2024 and is set to take over the role from December 2024.

Here are the highlights of his career so far:

Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA)

Shah became the joint secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) in September 2013

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)

Shah became a member of the finance and marketing committees of the BCCI in 2015.He later took up as secretary in September 2019 and was re-elected in October 2022

Under his leadership, BCCI closed record breaking IPL media rights deal, where the 5-year rights for the league were sold for a total of Rs 48,390 crore

Asian Cricket Council (ACC)

Jay Shah was also appointed as the president of Asian Cricket Council in January 2021 and again in January 2024

International Cricket Council (ICC)

In November 2022, Shah was appointed as ICC Board Member Representative, he was also elected as the head of ICC's all powerful Finance and Commercial Affairs (F&CA) committee at the board meeting.
