The Railway Board has approved the first-ever train from Bandra Terminus on the Western Railway to Goa.
First Mumbai-Goa Train on Western Railway
The train will operate bi-weekly for Goa and Konkan from Bandra Terminus station.

The train will make its inaugural journey tomorrow (August 29), starting from Borivali station on Western Railway.

Goa-bound train from Bandra Terminus will benefit tourists from Western suburbs of Mumbai as currently all Konkan and Goa trains from Mumbai operate from Central Railway's stations.

The train departs Madgaon every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:40 am, arriving at Bandra Terminus at 11:40 pm. It leaves Bandra Terminus every Wednesday and Friday at 6:50 am, reaching Madgaon at 10 pm.

The train has been given stoppages at 13 stations – Borivali, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Roha, Veer, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Sawantwadi, Thivim and Karmali.

The train will be operated with 20 LHB ((Linke Hofmann Busch)-type coaches, which offers enhanced safety, comfort, and efficiency for train passengers.
