India At 27th Spot With 7 Medals In Paris Paralympics

India is going strong in the ongoing Paris Paralympics 2024 with 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze to its name.

Preethi Pal won bronze in the women's 100m T35 on Friday (Aug 30), which is India's first medal in the 2024 Paralympics.

She clinched her second medal (bronze) in the Women’s 200m T35 at the 2024 Paris Paralympics on Sunday (Sep 1).

On the same day, high jumper Nishad Kumar of the T47 category won India's  3rd para-athletics medal and 7th overall.

Earlier, on day 2 of the 2024 Paralympics, Avani Lekhara won gold in the R2 - Women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1.

Mona Agarwal won bronze in the women’s 10m air rifle (SH1) event in her debut Paralympics on Friday.

On the same day, Manish Narwal clinched India's fourth medal (silver) in the men’s 10m air pistol (SH1) event.

On Saturday, Rubina Francis won bronze in women’s 10m air pistol SH1, becoming India's first medal-winner in the event.
