England Beat Sri Lanka To Claim 2-0 Lead In Test Series

England earned a convincing win in the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka at the Lord’s.

The hosts got the better of Sri Lanka by 190 runs to clinch a 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.

Joe Root was in brilliant form having scored two centuries in the match.

Chasing a target of 483, the visitors were bowled out for 292.

Gus Atkinson bagged 5 wickets in the second innings to secure a comfortable win for England.

Overall, he picked up 7 wickets in the 2nd Test.

Atkinson was adjudged Player of the Match for his sublime  all-round performances.

He played a fine knock of 118 in the first innings.

Atkinson became the third England player to score a century and claim 5 wickets in an innings of the same Test.

England’s Tony Greig and Ian Botham had previously achieved this feat.
