Kerala-Style Parippu Dal Recipe In 20 Minutes

Rinse and cook moong dal with turmeric and water until soft.

Mash the cooked dal and set aside.

Heat coconut oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.

Sauté chopped shallots, garlic, and green chilies until golden.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.

Mix the tempered ingredients into the mashed dal.

Add water, salt, and bring to a boil. Garnish with fresh coconut and serve with rice or roti.
