India Make History At 2024 Paralympics; Set New Benchmark With 29 Medals

India made history at the 2024 Paris Paralympics with a record-breaking medal tally.

The Indian contingent secured 29 medals in France.

It is 10 more than the medal tally India had secured in the Tokyo Paralympics.

A record 84 para-athletes had represented India in Paris.

India successfully overcame the 25-medal target it had set for this campaign.

Athletics contributed to 17 medals, more than half of the total medal haul.

India also won 5 medals in badminton (1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze).

Their third-best performance was in shooting with 4 medals (1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze).

India won two medals in archery, including 1 gold and 1 bronze.

India bagged another medal (bronze) in judo.
