South Indian Vegetable Upma Recipe

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and add 1 tsp mustard seeds.

Once they splutter, add 1 tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal, and a few curry leaves.

Add 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped green chili, and sauté until soft.

Stir in 1 cup of semolina (rava) and roast until golden.

Add 2 ½ cups of water and salt to taste. Cook on low heat until the water is absorbed and the upma turns fluffy.

Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
