England Announce  17-Member Squad For Pakistan Tour; Ben Stokes Set To Return

England’s Test skipper Ben Stokes is set to make a return next month.

The 33-year-old has been named in the 17-member squad for the Pakistan series.

This marks an end to the Englishman’s two-month hiatus.

The three-match Test series is set to begin on October 7 in Multan.

Stokes had last competed in the 3rd Test of the West Indies series in July.

He didn’t feature during his side’s recent 2-1 triumph over Sri Lanka at home.

The all-rounder wasn’t named in the squad due to a long-standing hamstring injury.

Ollie Pope stepped up as England’s Test skipper during Stokes’ recovery phase.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have now announced Stokes’ return on Instagram.

Stokes will be looking to guide England to a 3rd consecutive Test series triumph in Pakistan.
