Samsung has added a new model to its Galaxy M series line-up with the launch of the Galaxy M05 smartphone in the Indian market.

The Samsung Galaxy M05 has launched in India priced at Rs 7,999 for the sole 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

The device will be available in a sleek mint green colour option. Those interested can purchase it through Amazon, Samsung.com and select retail stores.

The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It supports dual-SIM (Nano) connectivity and features a 6.74-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) LCD display which is ideal for binge-watching shows or scrolling through social media.

The handset comes with a dual rear camera system that includes a 50MP wide-angle sensor along with a 2MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The 8MP front camera ensures your selfies and video chats are crisp and clear.

Samsung Galaxy M05 will get two years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

The Galaxy M05 boasts a massive 5000mAh battery with a 25W fast charger that easily powers through long usage.

Other connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
