BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure were launched in India as CBUs, with deliveries starting from October 2024. Both bikes are part of BMW’s renowned GS series.
The BMW F 900 GS is priced at ₹13.75 lakh, while the BMW F 900 GS Adventure is ₹14.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Both models are targeted at premium adventure enthusiasts.
BMW touts these bikes as “Perfect enduros” for off-road, touring, and adventure enthusiasts. Their advanced features and design make them ideal for diverse terrains.
BMW claims that both models carry the iconic GS-DNA. This refers to the enduring off-road legacy of the GS series, providing superior riding dynamics and durability.
Both models will be imported as completely built-up units (CBUs), meaning they arrive fully assembled. This process often enhances quality control but raises prices.
The BMW F 900 GS replaces the F 850 GS in the lineup. Positioned just below the flagship R 1300 GS, this new model is lighter and features several key upgrades.
The F 900 GS sports a redesigned plastic fuel tank, shorter front beak, and a flatter LED headlamp. These updates aim to enhance the bike's aesthetic and off-road capabilities.
The F 900 GS Adventure features a larger fuel tank and seat for extended rides. Both models offer advanced tech, including LED lights, traction control, and riding modes.
Both models feature an 895cc twin-cylinder engine producing 103 BHP at 8,500 rpm and 93 Nm at 6,750 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox complements the engine.
The F 900 GS comes with an upside-down front fork and aluminium dual swingarm with adjustable mono-shock at the rear. This setup ensures a responsive ride.
The braking system includes dual discs at the front and a single rear disc, offering powerful stopping performance for both on-road and off-road conditions.
