1/2 cup chana dal 1/4 cup toor dal 1/4 cup moong dal 1/4 cup urad dal 1 onion (chopped) 2 green chilies (chopped) 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp cumin seeds Coriander leaves (chopped) Salt to taste 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chili powder Oil for frying

Ingredients:

Soak equal parts of chana dal, urad dal, and moong dal in water for 4-5 hours. Then drain it.

Coarsely grind the soaked and dried dal with minimal water to make a thick, grainy paste.

Mix the dal paste with finely chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and salt.

Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into flat vadas (round patties) using your hands.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium flame and deep-fry the vadas until they turn golden.

Once both sides of the vadas are crispy, remove them from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.

Serve the crispy and tasty mixed dal vadas with mint chutney or tamarind (imli) chutney.
