Abhishek Sharma will open India’s innings vs Bangladesh in the T20I series.
He debuted against Zimbabwe in early 2024 and scored a century in his 2nd match.
Wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma is also back in the T20I squad.
He last featured for India in January 2024 against Afghanistan.
Varun Chakravarthy is set to return after a 3-year hiatus.
He last competed in the Scotland versus India clash in November 2021.
Pacer Harshit Rana has also been selected for the upcoming Bangladesh T20I series.
Despite being in the T20I squad against Zimbabwe, Harshit didn’t feature in the playing XI.
Nitish Kumar Reddy was also called up for the Zimbabwe series in July.
The batting all-rounder now has the opportunity to make his debut against Bangladesh.
