They scored the mammoth tally against Australia at the Oval in 1938.

England also occupy the 3rd place with a total of 849.

Andy Sandham spearheaded the English in 1930 with a triple-century.

Rounding off the top 5 is West Indies’ score of 790/3 against Pakistan.

Sir Garfield Sobers remained unbeaten at 365 during the 1958 Kingston Test.
