Despite focusing on his Test comeback, Shreyas Iyer has failed to make the cut.
Iyer had scored a half-century to guide Mumbai to Irani Trophy victory.
He also scored 142 in Mumbai’s second Ranji Trophy game against Maharashtra this season.
Ruturaj Gaikwad also failed to secure a spot in the squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
In the bowling attack, India will not have Arshdeep Singh in the series.
Arshdeep has so far been considered for white-ball cricket for India.
