Ingredients:
Black channa, boiled - 1 kg
Coconut, grated - 3
Shallots - 150 gm
Whole red chilli - 50 gm
Whole coriander seeds - 50 gm
Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
Coconut oil - 1 cup
Garlic - 10 gm
Salt - As per taste
Mustard seeds - 10 gm
Onion, sliced - 100 gm
Red chilli powder - 25 gm
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Heat some oil in a pan and saute grated coconut, shallots, red chillies, coriander seeds, curry leaves, and garlic. Grind the sauteed ingredients.
Step 1
Saute mustard seeds, add sliced onions, coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala and ground ingredients in a pan.
Step 2
Add water with boiled channa to the pan and let it cook.
Step 3
Add salt and mix well.
Step 4
Your South Indian kadala curry is ready; serve it hot.
