Delicious South Indian Cabbage Vada Recipe

Soak Dal: Soak 1 cup chana dal for 2 hours, then drain.

Grind Dal: Grind the dal coarsely with green chilies and a small piece of ginger (no water).

Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the dal paste, finely chopped cabbage, onions, curry leaves, salt, and a pinch of asafoetida.

Shape Vadas: Take small portions of the mixture, shape into flat rounds.

Heat Oil: Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.

Fry Vadas: Fry the vadas on medium heat until golden and crispy.

Drain and Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve hot with coconut chutney.
