Delicious South Indian Cabbage Vada Recipe

Soak Dal
: Soak 1 cup chana dal for 2 hours, then drain.
Grind Dal
: Grind the dal coarsely with green chilies and a small piece of ginger (no water).
Mix Ingredients
: In a bowl, combine the dal paste, finely chopped cabbage, onions, curry leaves, salt, and a pinch of asafoetida.
Shape Vadas
: Take small portions of the mixture, shape into flat rounds.
Heat Oil
: Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
Fry Vadas
: Fry the vadas on medium heat until golden and crispy.
Drain and Serve
: Drain on paper towels and serve hot with coconut chutney.
