Apple’s new feature enables travelers to share AirTag locations directly with airlines, helping track and recover misplaced bags during travel.

How it works

Users can generate a Share Item Location link via the Find My app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This link provides access to the item’s real-time location on a map.

Secure location sharing

Only specific people with access to the link can view the location. Each link requires recipients to authenticate with their Apple Account or a partner email address.

The shared link displays the bag's location on a map with automatic updates and timestamps of the latest data, ensuring recipients always see the latest available location.
