Delicious Gujarati Pav Bataka Recipe

Ingredients for the ground masala
Handful coriander leaves 2 green chillies 1 inch ginger 2-3 cloves garlic 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander seeds 1/2 tsp salt Juice from 1 lemon
Other ingredients
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Hing, a pinch
1 sprig curry leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1-1/2 cups water
3 medium potatoes, boiled and peeled
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt, to taste
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
Ingredients for the pav
1 tsp butter 1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala/garam masala 1/4 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder Pav or bread Coriander, chopped
Step 1:
Add all the ingredients mentioned for ground masala and grind to make a paste. Keep aside.
Step 2:
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, hing and curry leaves.
Step 3:
Next add ground masala, turmeric powder and cook for a minute. Add in water and let it come to a boil.
Step 4:
Add boiled potatoes and mash. Cook for 2-3 minutes and add in garam masala, coriander, salt and mix well.
Step 5:
Now toast the pav with the ingredients mentioned and serve immediately.
