A new water body- Virgin Lake is discovered at an altitude of around 16,000 feet at the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand

The discovery of the new lake is a jewel in the crown of trekkers. The other popular lakes are Vasuki Tal, Basuri Tal, Deoria Tal among others
Battling inhospitable climate conditions, the members discovered the lake on the morning of September 1.
Meanwhile, district tourism department is collecting information about the lake discovery.
