G20 summit: Traffic diversions and delays in Gurugram as cops step up curbs

Gurugram residents can expect traffic diversions and delays during the G20 Summit in Delhi. Restrictions will be in place from September 7, with the Summit scheduled for September 9-10.

If you are planning travel from Gurugram to Delhi, keep these things in mind: 

NH-48 Restrictions

Vehicular movement restricted on NH-48 from midnight Sep 7 to midnight Sep 10. Expect traffic delays.

Avoid private vehicles, use metro services. Public buses to use routes from Rajiv Chowk, MG Road, Sikanderpur Metro Station, Nathupur Red Light.

Commuters to Delhi

Heavy Vehicles

Use Western Peripheral Expressway or Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway. Only allowed after No Entry timings towards Gurugram.

Remote Work

MNCs asked to let employees work remotely, particularly on Sep 8 when delegates arrive.

Private Vehicles

No restrictions towards Delhi, but metro service encouraged. Avoid Shankar Chowk due to VIP movement.

Public Transport Buses

Allowed up to Iffco Chowk from Rajeev Chowk via highway, then diverted on MG Road to Aya Nagar via Sikanderpur for Delhi.

Flights from Gurugram

Use NH-48 Rao Gajraj Singh Marg, Old Delhi Gurugram Road and NH-48 service road for T3. For T1, use Ullan Batar Marg.
