India has shown its leadership and vision as the G20 president by achieving several milestones and initiating new projects, ahead of the summit in September, 2023.
Here’s a list of achievements by India’s G20 presidency before the Leaders' meeting:

India led the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting and delivered a comprehensive document on critical themes for member states.
India hosted the inaugural summit with 125 countries to voice the concerns and priorities of the developing world.
India supported the launch of an international research initiative on millets and other ancient grains to connect researchers and institutions.
India held the inception meeting of the G20 alliance for women’s economic representation and empowerment in the private sector.
India reached a consensus on creating digital public infrastructures, cyber security and digital skills after the G20 Digital Economy Ministers’ Meeting.
India initiated the meeting of G20-Chief Science Advisers Roundtable on issues like one health, scholarly knowledge & S&T policy.
India revitalised discussions on reforms of multilateral development banks & established an independent expert group for recommendations.
India also pushed for reforms of the UN Security Council to reflect the realities of the 21st century and ensure fair representation.
India demonstrated its leadership and vision in steering the G20 agenda and addressing global challenges with innovative solutions.
India is looking forward to hosting G20 Leaders’ Summit and advancing its priorities of resilience, sustainability, and inclusivity.
