Virat Kohli Close to Breaking Sachin Tendulkar's ODI 100s Record 

Kohli played an exceptional 122-run innings off 94 deliveries. This included nine boundaries and three maximums.

Kohli now has 77 international centuries and is  the only batter to have a 50-plus average in  each format.

Following the ton against Pakistan, Virat Kohli needs two 100-plus scores to equal Tendulkar’s record of 49 centuries in ODIs.

Kohli has taken 278 matches to reach his 47th ODI century, while Tendulkar recorded 49 ODI tons in 463 appearances.

Thanks to his exploits against Pakistan, Virat Kohli now holds the record for scoring the fastest 13,000 ODI runs.

Kohli overcame Tendulkar’s record to reach mount 13,000. Tendulkar needed 321 innings to reach 13,000 ODI runs, while Kohli required 267 innings.

Only three more cricketers – Ricky Ponting, Kumar Sangakkara and Sanath Jayasuriya –  could reach the 13,000-run milestone in ODI cricket.

Apart from Kohli, KL Rahul also smashed a remarkable century in the Super 4 match against Pakistan, scoring an unbeaten 111 off 106 balls.

Pakistan faced a rare batting collapse and suffered a 228-run defeat in the big-ticket clash against India.
