Tata Motors unveils Nexon facelift and EV, prices start at Rs 8.10 lakh

Tata Motors launches Nexon facelift at Rs 8.10 lakh for the base Smart MT variant. This is the second facelift for the Nexon.

Electric Update

Alongside the Nexon facelift, Tata Motors also launched the Nexon EV facelift at Rs 14.74 lakh.

Design Inspiration

The Nexon facelift’s design draws inspiration from the Curvv and Harrier EV concepts.

Headlight Housing

It gets a split-headlamp setup with the headlights placed in a trapezoidal housing on the bumper.

New Alloy Wheels

There’s a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels and a new accent line.

LED DRLs

The sequential LED daytime running lights (DRLs) are at the top, connected by a slim upper grille.

Tata introduces a new app suite that lets you stream OTT platforms such as Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar and others on the go.

Arcade.ev app suite

Safety Features

Safety features include six airbags, ESC, three-point seat belts for all seats, ISOFIX.

Tata claims to have improved the side pole protection of the Nexon.ev by strengthening the body structure.

Reinforced body

Nexon.ev gets a 7.2kW AC charger and a DC fast charger. It also has V2V and V2L charging features that let you charge other devices or EVs.

Charging capabilities

Engine Details

The Nexon facelift will continue with the 120hp, 170Nm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Nexon.ev gets a lighter and more efficient permanent magnet motor with four-level brake regeneration and paddle shifters.

New Gen-2 motor

Trim Names

The Nexon facelift’s new trim names are Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure, Pure (S), Creative.

Interior Resemblance

Inside, the Nexon facelift closely resembles the Curvv concept with fewer physical buttons.

Top-Spec Features

The top-spec Nexon facelift gets a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen and a similarly sized digital instrument cluster.

Rivalry Continues

Nexon facelift goes up against the likes of the Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
