Apple unveiled iPhone 15 series, watch series 9 & more

Tech giant Apple unveiled the highly anticipated iPhone 15 series, as well as the Apple Watch Series 9 & Watch Ultra 2 at its ‘Wanderlust’ event on September 12. Take a look at everything Apple launched.

iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Plus

The iPhone 15 & 15 Plus comes with an improved camera system, with main camera sensor moving to a 48-megapixel one. Both versions feature the dynamic island feature and USB-C charging technology.

The iPhone 15 also has an OLED Super Retina display. The peak brightness of this display is 2,000 nits in sunlight. The iPhone 15 comes with a 6.1-inch display & the iPhone 15 Plus comes with a 6.7-inch display.

Pricing for the iPhone 15 starts at $799 for a 128GB model & for the iPhone 15 Plus at $899 for a 128GB version & both will be available in pink, yellow, green, blue & black.

Both the iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Pro Max are powered by the A17 Pro chip. The frame on the Pro models has a brushed look & are the first iPhone to feature an aerospace-grade titanium design.

The ring/silent switch is replaced with an ‘Action Button’ which you can customize to run shortcuts, bring up accessibility features, open the camera, & more.

The iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Pro Max is available with display screen of 6.1 & 6.7 inches, respectively.

Both the iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Pro Max have Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion & support both Always-on Display & the new StandBy mode in iOS 17.

The iPhone Pro Max features a new phone camera with a new Tetra Prism design that increases zoom up to 5x. Pro starts at $999 with 128GB of storage & the Pro Max starts at $1,199 with 256GB of storage.

The new smartwatch, Apple Watch Series 9, is powered by the new S9 chip, which the company claims are 60% faster, paired with a 30% faster GPU.

WatchOS 10 features a new ‘Name Drop’ feature that allows users to share personal information when they are near another user with the same device.

‘Double Tap’ is one of the most interesting features this time around. With a simple tap of the fingers, users can answer a call, end a call, stop a timer, play music, scroll through widgets & turn off an alarm.

Ultrawideband in this new series brings more interoperability with the HomePod, as find My functionality. The Series 9 watch with GPS costs $399 & GPS with cellular connectivity costs $499.
