Use a tall, thin container that is made of glass or ceramic if possible. This will help support the plant's upright development and provide it stability.

The chlorine and other contaminants in tap water might cause lucky bamboo to wilt.

Water should be added to the container to completely cover the roots, leaving the stems and leaves above the waterline.

Avoid the sun's direct rays since they can burn the foliage.

Temperatures between 65°F and 95°F (18°C and 35°C) are ideal for lucky bamboo. Keep it away from places that are too cold or draughty.

Lucky bamboo doesn't need fertilisation very often.
