6 Tips for Growing Rosemary Indoors

Producer:  Riya Ashok

Choose a container with good drainage holes if you're growing rosemary in one to avoid waterlogging.

To avoid root rot, deeply but infrequently water the plants.

After flowering or anytime it starts to get too lanky, lightly prune.

In the spring, apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser, but be careful not to overfertilize as this can lessen the plant's aromatic properties.

In general, rosemary is resistant to insects and illnesses. But watch out for powdery mildew, spider mites, and aphids.

Due to its sensitivity to frost, rosemary should be brought indoors throughout the winter if you live in a cold climate.
