Ashwin’s inclusion, however, came at the expense of left-arm spinner Axar Patel
All-rounder Axar had picked up a quadriceps injury during the Asia Cup, and is expected to undergo rehab at the NCA
Ashwin presence could be of great help for the in-form Kuldeep Yadav, who is expected to be India’s key weapon in the World Cup
The World Cup will also witness the reunion of Ashwin with Ravindra Jadeja in coloured clothing
