150 years of Tramways: Kolkata Trams gets special Puja makeover 

A Puja Special Tram will be covering from Tollygunge to Ballygunge in Kolkata in commemoration of the UNESCO Heritage Tag to Durga Puja on the 150th year of Kolkata tramways

The tram on the Tollygunge route will cover all the famous areas known to have historic and popular Puja pandals

Interiors of the bogie include makeover in Puja decor with cane installations, aalpona art, and a museum-style visual narrative.

Interactive features and QR codes enable visitors to discover the individuals behind the Durga Puja celebrations through the "People of Puja" stories

The exteriors of the tram car have hand-painted artworks honouring artisans of Kumortuli, the traditional potters’ quarters in North Kolkata which has evolved into a major hub for making of idols

The exterior of the tram also depicts the mythological references of Goddes Durga being  moulded to women taking part in "Sindoor Khela

The second bogie exteriors are designed to showcase West Bengal's culture and landmarks, incorporating augmented reality elements
