Indian captain Rohit Sharma broke multiple records previously held by several cricketers on October 12 in the win over Afghanistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match. Take a look at the numerous records broken by the Indian captain.

Rohit Sharma has now hit the most sixes in international cricket across all formats with 554 sixes*, surpassing Chris Gayle's tally (553 in 551 innings). The right-hander broke the record in his 473rd international innings.

With his seventh ODI World Cup hundred, Sharma broke legendary Sachin Tendulkar's record for most centuries in World Cup history. Tendulkar scored six centuries in 44 innings, while Rohit scored seven centuries in 19 innings.
