K-pop BTS leader Kim Namjoon, popularly known as RM, is celebrating his 29th birthday today.
RM is not only the lead rapper in BTS but also a prolific songwriter and producer, with a portfolio that includes over 100 composed songs.
RM developed an interest in writing songs when he was in Class 7. He shared the song renditions online at hip-hop community websites.
RM is the tallest member of the BTS members. His height is 5ft 11 inches or 181 cm.
Before attaining stardom in BTS through his songs, RM worked as an underground rapper. His stage name was Runch Randa.
RM has earned the title of "The god of destruction" for his clumsiness. He once ripped open BTS member Jungkook’s shirt while performing the song Fake Love onstage.
RM’s IQ score is 148 as compared to the average IQ score of humans which is 100. When the rapper was in middle school, he appeared for the Test and scored 850 out of 990.
RM is fluent in the English language and is the one who speaks on behalf of the BTS members at foreign media interviews.
RM delivered an impactful speech at the 2018 UNICEF’s youth initiative — Generation Unlimited which was held in New York at the UN headquarters.
Fans of RM criticised him “out of love” for his inadept dance moves at first. Later on, however, he improved his dancing skills.
RM has previously shared that if he hadn't joined BTS, he would have pursued a career as a writer or a poet.
