Irish batter Kevin O'Brien’s 50-ball century against England in 2011 remains the fastest hundred in the history of ODI World Cup

Glenn Maxwell’s 51-ball ton against Sri Lanka in 2015 finds the second spot on this list.

AB de Villiers holds the record for the third-fastest century. He required 52 balls to achieve this feat against West Indies in 2015.

Former England skipper Eoin Morgan scripted the fourth-fastest  century against Afghanistan  in 2019. 

Mathew Hayden’s 66-ball ton against South Africa in 2007 finds itself in the fifth position on this list.

Canada’s John Davison’s century off 67 balls against West Indies in 2003 is the sixth-fastest ODI World Cup ton.

Ireland’s Paul Stirling scored the seventh-fastest ton facing just 70 deliveries against Netherlands  in 2011.

Sri Lanka’s ace batter Kumar Sangakkara required just 70 balls to score a century against England in 2015

Aussie big hitter Adam Gilchrist slammed the eighth-fastest ODI World Cup hundred off just 72 deliveries against Sri Lanka in 2007.

Kumar Sangakkara once again features on the list, thanks to his blistering 73-ball hundred against Bangladesh in 2015.

UAE’s Shaiman Anwar scored the 10th-fastest World Cup century off 79 balls against Ireland  in 2015.

The record for the 10th-fastest century is jointly held by Zimbabwe’s Brendan Taylor, along with Shaiman Anwar.
