Mashaal (1984)

Santosh Sivan shot this Tamil film, which won him his first National Film Award. Sivan has won 12 National Film Awards.

Sivan not only shot but also directed the Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor-starrer Asoka

Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities (2004)

On this film, starring Tabu and Kunal Kapoor, Sivan collaborated with painter MF Husain, who directed the film

Raavan / Raavanan (2010)

In a first, both the Hindi and Tamil versions of the Mani Ratnam-directed and Sivan-shot eye-grabbing film was made simultaneously
