Coca: Native to Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador, its leaves contain the alkaloid cocaine. 

Jimsonweed: Found in North and South America, its leaves contain potent alkaloids (hyoscamine and hyoscine) that cause hallucinations.

Tobacco: The large leaves of the tobacco plant contain nicotine, which is mainly used in cigarettes, cigars, and snuff.

Betel Nut: Cultivated in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines, it is considered to be the fourth most-common psychoactive drug in the world.

Ayahuasca: The South American vine is the main ingredient for the psychoactive drink of the same name.

Cannabis: Perhaps the most known psychoactive plant all across the world, cannabis or marijuana is also used as a medicinal plant nowadays. 

Salvia: Native to Mexico, the plant belonging to the mint family has hallucinogenic properties.

Peyote: Found in southern Texas and northern Mexico, the tops of the cactus are known for their hallucinogenic effects.

Opium Poppy: The unripe seed capsules have a milky latex, which is the source of raw opium. It can be processed into morphine, codeine, and heroin.

Mandrake: Found around the Mediterranean Sea, they contain hallucinogenic tropane alkaloids like atropine, scopolamine, and hyoscyamine.
