Components: Chandrayaan-3 includes a lander (Vikram) and a rover (Pragyan), akin to Chandrayaan-2.

Unique Feature of The Model: Chandrayaan-3 does not have a separate orbiter. The propulsion module serves as an orbiter during the mission.

Where to watch: The soft-landing of Chandrayan-3 will be live-broadcasted at www.isro.gov.in, on August 23, starting from 5:27 pm IST.

Backup Plan: In case the landing seems difficult on 23rd, considering the lander and moon's conditions 2 hours prior the touch down, the ISRO scientists shall change plans to the 27th of this month.

Importance: It marks a significant milestone in India's space journey, making it the 4th nation to achieve moon landing.

Initial Launch Plans: Chandrayaan-3 was supposed to take off in 2021, after a 2019 announcement. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced ISRO to alter plans.
