10 Tips to Grow Jasmine Plant

Choose the Right Variety: There are several varietiexs of jasmine, including common jasmine and Arabian jasmine. Choose a variety that suits your climate and preferences.

Select a Suitable Location: Jasmine plants thrive in full to partial sunlight. Plant your jasmine where it can receive at least 4-6 hours of sunlight daily.

Planting: Plant jasmine in well-drained soil, that is rich in organic matter. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

Watering: Jasmine plants need consistent moisture. Water them regularly, especially during dry spells, but avoid waterlogged soil.

Pruning: Prune the plant regularly to maintain its shape and encourage new growth. Pruning is best done after the flowering season.

Fertilization: Use balanced, all-purpose fertilizer on the plant, during spring and summer. Reduce or stop fertilizing during fall and winter.

Support: Depending on the variety, jasmine may need trellises or other supports to grow vertically.

Pest and Disease Control: Keep an eye out for common pests like aphids, mealybugs, and whiteflies. Treat infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
