Strategic expansion approved

The Union Cabinet has approved 12 new industrial nodes across 10 states, enhancing India's manufacturing ecosystem through strategic inter-city corridor developments.

Khurpia, Uttarakhand investment

Located 17 km east of Rudrapur, this 1,002-acre site has an investment potential of ₹6,180 crore, with a project cost of ₹1,265 crore, aiming to create 75,057 jobs in the auto and engineering sectors.

Rajpura Patiala, Punjab hub

45 km southwest of Chandigarh, this 1,099-acre area is projected to attract ₹7,500 crore, with a project cost of ₹1,367 crore, generating 64,204 jobs across diverse sectors including ESDM, textiles, and food processing.

Agra, Uttar Pradesh development

Situated 21 km east of Agra, this 1,058-acre site has an investment potential of ₹3,447 crore, with a project cost of ₹1,812 crore, expected to create 69,516 jobs in sectors like leather and food processing.

Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh initiative

Located 25 km south of Prayagraj, this 352-acre industrial site is set to attract ₹1,600 crore, with a project cost of ₹658 crore, providing employment for 17,700 in e-mobility and packaging sectors.

Gaya, Bihar potential

30 km south of Gaya airport, this expansive 1,670-acre site has a massive investment potential of ₹16,524 crore, with a project cost of ₹1,339 crore, aiming to create 1,09,185 jobs in agro-processing and engineering.

Dighi Port, Maharashtra expansion

Located 55 km east of Dighi port, this 6,056-acre site is projected to see an investment of ₹38,000 crore, with a project cost of ₹5,469 crore, creating 1,14,183 jobs in engineering, pharmaceuticals, and textiles.

Jodhpur Pali Marwar, Rajasthan plan

Situated 30 km southeast of Jodhpur, this 1,578-acre area is expected to attract ₹7,500 crore, with a project cost of ₹922 crore, generating 40,000 jobs in textiles, agro-processing, and building materials.

Kopparthy, Andhra Pradesh details

11 km from Kurnool Airport, this 2,596-acre site has an investment potential of ₹8,860 crore, with a project cost of ₹2,137 crore, expected to create 54,500 jobs in renewables, textiles, and chemicals.

Orvakal, Andhra Pradesh focus

12 km from Kurnool Airport, this 2,621-acre industrial area is projected to attract ₹12,000 crore, with a project cost of ₹2,786 crore, creating 45,071 jobs in aerospace, pharmaceuticals, and non-metallic minerals.

Zaheerabad, Telangana initiative

9 km north of Zaheerabad Town, this 3,245-acre site has an investment potential of ₹10,000 crore, with a project cost of ₹2,361 crore, aiming to generate 1,74,000 jobs in automotive and food processing.

Palakkad, Kerala project

Located 20 km from Palakkad city, this 1,710-acre area is expected to attract ₹8,729 crore in investments, with a project cost of ₹3,806 crore, creating 51,000 jobs in high-tech and fabricated metal products.

Future industrial expansion

Piyush Goyal has announced plans for 20 new industrial townships across India, with Odisha likely to be included in the next phase of this expansive development.
