14 out of world’s 20 most polluted cities are in India

Air pollution is a major health concern in India. According to a recent report by IQAir, many Indian cities have PM2.5 concentrations far exceeding WHO’s recommended limit.

According to the WHO’s guidelines, the annual mean concentration of PM2.5 should not exceed 5 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3) to ensure good air quality and protect public health. Let’s take a look at the 20 worst cities for air pollution in the world:
