3 Things To Avoid Doing If Your iPhone Gets Wet

Apple offers durability for iPhone users with IP68 rating for the devices.

This IP rating means the iPhones are dust and water resistant.

But even then people end up dropping thier iPhones into water which is not ideal.

Apple has now updated its do's and don'ts when your iPhone gets wet.

The first thing that Apple advises is that don't try to dry the iPhone using external heat source.

Do not insert a foreign object like cotton swab or paper towel into the charging connector.

And yes, Apple says that putting the iPhone in a bag of rice could actually damage the device.

People have used this trick to save their wet phones for many years and but Apple advises against it.

Apple tells iPhone users that if the device falls in water, just let it dry out for as long as 24 hours.
