Kadhi is a yoghurt-based gravy thickened with besan. But you can add tomatoes to enhance the flavour and colour of this classic dish. You can top it with a tadka featuring hot ghee or oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, and dried red chilies.
