If you have cooked rice stocked up in the fridge from previous meals or as part of meal-prepping, here are some leftover rice recipes you can cook for breakfast.
Mash cooked rice with gram flour, onions, green chillies and spices. Add some water to thin out the batter and pour a ladle full of the batter into a greased, hot pan to cook for some time. Serve it with a spicy green chutney and some grated cheese.
Cook leftover rice with milk, cream, vanilla, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Add fruits like bananas, cherries, berries, or even figs on top.
Add leftover cooked rice to a pot with twice the amount of water, lots of crushed pepper, soy sauce, and garlic to let it simmer. Top up with a fried egg and chopped spring onions.
Mix cooked rice with whisked eggs, veggies, fresh herbs and cheese. Now, make fritters of this batter by deep frying them.
